He married Anne Devereux (c1430-1486) 1455 JL in Bodenham, Herefordshire.

One of many known ancestors, through an illegitimate son, of David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2010-2016. Also an ancestor of User:SamuelTGeer through first illegitimate son Richard. However, authorities disagree on which children the earl had by which woman. Anne is shown on thePeerage with no mention of her mother; WARGS mentions that "Mawd" was the mother of more than one of William's children.
