Death

Tragedy at Dural.
Mr. W. Roughley Shoots Himself.

Word was brought to Parramatta on Tuesday morning of the death of Mr. W. Roughley, of Dural, who had, as it was stated, shot himself the previous evening at Dural. The deceased, who was well known in the Hills district, had been suffering for some time from a mental ailment, and had, indeed, been an inmate of the Parramatta Hospital for the Insane. At the time of his death he was out on probation. A magisterial enquiry was being held by Mr. J. E. Bowden (deputy coroner for Parramatta district) at Galston as we went to press. Mr. W. Roughley was a member of one of the best-known families in our district.
