¶ Death
  • FATAL ACCIDENT. As reported in another column, a distressing accident occurred on Saturday day last, as the result of which Mr William George Lambkin, of New Freugh, met his death. From the evidence which was given at the Inquest held subsequently by the Coroner, it appears that the deceased was out chopping wood about a quarter of a mile away from the house. He had burned down one tree and was chopping it up, when another one, which was almost burnt through, fell on and killed him. The deceased leaves a widow and six children—four sons and two daughters—to mourn his loss. He was 63 years of age.
