William "Willimus" Cogswell was born circa 1619 in Westbury, Wiltshire, England to John Cogswell (1592-1669) and Elizabeth Thompson (1594-1676) and died 15 December 1700 Chebacco, Essex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Susanna Hawkes (1633-1696) 1649 in Massachusetts.
