Biography

It is assumed that he was the eldest son of Gleb Yuryevich Prince of Turov and Princes of Dubrovitsa. According to L.Voytovich, Vladimir was the son of Vladimir Svyatpolchich or Rostislav Svyatopolchich.

In 1208, when the Prince of Belz Aleksandr Vsedolodovich was taken prisoner, he was also captured. In 1219, during a campaign against Vladimir, the Hungarians, under the authority of a local boyar, Sudislav, ha was again taken prisoner (as well as four other princes), but was ransomed off with gold.

In 1229, left by Daniil Romanovich of Halych (1201-1264) and Vasilko Romanovich of Halych (c1203-1279) Princes of Halych-Volhynia to protect the principality against the raids of the Yotvingians raids, attacked and defeated Lithuanians passing to Poland.

He had three sons, mentioned in 1262 as Princes of Pinsk - Fyodor Vladimirovich of Pinsk (c1220-c1293), Demid Vladimirovich of Pinsk (c1222-c1295) and Yuri Vladimirovich of Pinsk (c1225-c1288).
