Vivian de Davenport was born circa 1204 in England to Richard de Davenport (c1180-) and Amabilia de Venables (c1150-c1200) and died before March 1260 of unspecified causes.

A History and Genealogy of the Davenport Family: In England and America, from A. D. 1086 to 1850 by Amzi Benedict Davenport, 1851

"Vivan de Davenport, son of Richard, and grandson of Thomas, and the fourth in descent from Orme de Davenport, had a grant of the magisterial sergeancy of the hundred of Macclesfield, from Randle Blundeville, earl of Chester, by charter made during the justiceship of Philip de Orreby, between 1209 and 1226. It appears that the grant was made to Vivian Davenport, against his will, as a compensation for the parks and vivaries of Macclesfield, of which the earl had deprived him, but which Vivian did not concider an adequate compensation.
