Hello, and welcome to Familypedia, the Genealogy wiki! We volunteers hope you can continue making contributions to articles and/or discussion and other improvements. Probably nobody has yet looked at your edit to the Boston Brahmin page. It is live already, but it may soon be reviewed by one of our more experienced editors.
If you are new to Wikia or wikis in general, a visit to Help:Contents will be well worth while.
However, all intending contributors, even those experienced with wikis, will get something of value from Help:Contents because our "Help" pages are much more than an editing guide.
To start right in creating pages for your ancestors or other people, we strongly urge at least one read of the guidance page so that you get the best setup for easy linking and time-saving.
You could check out the "Community portal" for an outline of some of the main features, links to pages that tell you how to edit, and the link to a guided tour of selected pages that illustrate ways you may enjoy using the site.
Please consider adding a "Babel" template to your user page, if you have not already done so, so that others know which languages you are comfortable reading. The site is basically in English but there is no prohibition on other languages and we have ways of linking to translations. We already have, for example, over 100 kB in Spanish, dozens of pages in French, and a little Dutch, Russian, German, and Norwegian, with easy ways of linking languages.
A good place to start each visit is the "recent changes" page, where all edits and their authors (anonymous or signed-in) are listed. Bookmark it, maybe. (And help delete spam - unpleasant but a fact of life, though Wikia sites get very little.)
You're most welcome to add your user page to a category for your country - see Category:Contributors and create a category if yours is not there.
Discussion of any aspect of the site, and enquiries, can be made through a Forum or on the Talk page associated with each article. Sign and date your contributions there (by typing "~~~~" or clicking the "signature" button), so that readers know "who to talk to" and whether your message is probably still of current interest. If you write on a user's "talk" page, that user will get an alerting message on next visit.
It would be good if you could indicate on your user page how you discovered this site.
Why waste your time and ours with a third identity?
You can't see your complete contributions in one place. You have to do more work to list contributors of pages edited by two or more of your identities. Your number of total edits (at the top of this page and your user pages etc) looks less impressive than it should. Administrators have unnecessarily many "users" to talk to and help. I was hoping somebody could delet this page that I made some time ago. I want to recreate it as a "person page."
- Seems to me like an unnecessary waste of work doing that. We have lots of pages that list descendants of a person, and they have their uses. Create a new person page in the normal way and copy some of the descendants to it if you like. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 08:15, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Lion's wife was shown as "M", and one of her children is shown to be dying in a now "abolished" county in Greater London. I've fixed Mary's sex and made a couple of other edits, but you would get proper links sooner if you could get more things right at first try. For example, a "county" field needs the full county name (as shown on Wikipedia and here). Maybe it's time for you to take a minute or two to reread the main guidance page - Help:Starting pages for people, places, or surnames/Guidance - which you can find easily from the "Create article for person" menu at the top of most pages.

It's good to see more work from you (though it would be better for the rest of us and maybe for you if you stuck to your main user name).

Hi Robin. I'm sorry for all of the different user names; I have been forgetting my paswords, but now I have one that I am sticking to. There are a few issues that I would like to bring up with that I have noticed lately.
For some reason I have not been able to save a pages when I want to edit a page the normal way. The save button is not highlighted for some reason.
When I creat a person pages it will eithe save a page without anything really saved and/or when I click on a red link person page to create it, it a "Creat a new article" box will appear and only give me the option to "Add a Page," and will not give bring me to the 'Persons page."
When I rename a page it makes a duplicage of the persons "short name."

Particularly note the reduction in categories relating to birth and death dates. That information is automatically collected and tabulated by our software from the data entered in forms. See, for example, most recent-centuries pages for years or days-of-year. We do have separate categories for "Born in "(year)" and "Died in (year)", but they are technically redundant since 2009 and should not be manually added to articles.
The other point is the treasurers category. I agree with Andrei that a category for Boston treasurers would be disproportionately small. However, I'm sure his alternative, Category:City and town treasurers in the United States, would be too big for individuals. See its talk page. I changed your two treasurers pages to Category:City and town treasurers in Massachusetts.
Hello again; it's good to see you still adding material, though it really would help us if you could stick to a single user name (not a number).
Please now have a look at Talk: First families of Maryland and follow the category naming suggestions wherever you can. There is much time to be saved by using Wikipedia categories wherever practicable (and acknowledging them with the one-click icon so as to have an easy link to more material). Feel free to discuss inconsistencies when you find them.
