Welcome, Brian! I'm pretty new here myself, but all I can say is "Wow!" How did you put up so much good stuff so rapidly? When I first glanced at the "recent changes" page and saw the flurry of stuff you posted, I assumed it must have come from some automated widget that reads a GEDCOM and generates a bunch of pages. But then I noticed the times and the re-edits, clearly looking like manual work. And I cruised through a few of your pages. Nicely done! How did you do that so fast?! I take it you're experienced with wiki from somewhere else?

- Yeah, I have been posting on Wikipedia for about a week... learned the ins and outs there. Thanks for the compliment. Some of my pages aren't complete, because I'm working from memory... have to look up the rest of the details and fill in the gaps.
Welcome from me too! Most impressive work.
I wonder if you know that you don't need to have anything after the pipe in this sort of link: [[Wikipedia:Grand Rapids, Michigan|Grand Rapids,Michigan]]. If there's nothing after the pipe, the software displays the link by chopping off the prefix. Because of the removed space, I presume you typed or pasted both versions of the placename. Not required unless you want a different display.
Other ideas are mentioned on template:welc, which is the welcome I would have given you here if Tom hadn't beaten me to it.
One more link for this week (as I'm not currently online at home): please see Template talk:Disambiguation.
Keep up the great work!

Plenty to see here since your previous big bunch of edits. Some clever improvements. Have a look around! Robin Patterson 04:10, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
