Capt. Timothy Jackman was born 5 October 1702 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts to James Jackman (1655-1723) and Rachel Noyes (1661-1720) and died 1787 Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Hannah Chute (1700-1787) 1721 in Massachusetts.


Capt. Timothy Jackman, b. Oct. 5, 1702; d. 1783; lived in Newbury and Rowley; part of his children bap. in Byfield chh., Rowley; figured prominently in history of Rowley; on committee of safety during Rev. War with Dr. Parker Cleaveland, who m. his granddaughter, Elizabeth jjackman, sister ;of Dea. Timothy Jackman. Capt. Timothy was Capt. of 9th Comp. of 7th Essex Co. Reg't. of militia. His detachment marched by order of selectmen and committee of safety to guard Gloucester Harbor and the brig Nancy. They were absent 5 days; roll sworn to at Watertown, Dec. 19, 1775.
