Thomas Digby was born circa 1795 in Essex, England, United Kingdom and died 1855 Liverpool, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes.

Thomas Digby was a convict who arrived in New South Wales aboard the Fortune on 11 June 1813. He had been convicted on 7 August 1811 at Chelmsford to transportation for life at the recorded age of 16. He had then been sent on 10 September 1811 to the hulk Retribution at Woolwich before being placed on the Fortune in November 1812.

In New South Wales he had lived in the Maitland district near Newcastle north of Sydney, where he had to stay under the terms of his ticket of leave. He is known to have received a charge when he left the district.
