  • Thomas Brown (1786-1836) was originally from London, where he worked as a bookkeeper and clerk and started his family. After acquiring some land, he relocated to Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire and started a farming, carrying and waggoning business with a partner. He died aged 50, leaving his wife to run the business.
