Thomas Arbuckle (1747-1841)

Thomas Arbuckle was born in Augusta County, Va. in 1747. He died at his son John's home in southern IN in 1841. He fought in the battle of Pickaway, (Pekowee) and the campaign under General George Rogers Clark in 1780. (Known as the battle of the Great Miami.) His brother, Captain Mathew Arbuckle fought at the Battle of Point Pleasant in West Virginia, and was the father of Brigadier General Mathew Arbuckle. Thomas is buried in Adams Cemetery in New Washington, In. He was my gggg grandfather.
