Why redirect? "Michelle LaVaughn Robinson (1964)" is our standard person page name format. "Michelle Robinson (1964)" is not her "usual" name either. Robin Patterson 01:37, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

What should I have done, move the page "Michelle Robinson (1964)" to "Michelle LaVaughn Robinson (1964)"? I am still not confident that I know what the "standards" actually are here (eg none of the US presidents has ever died, according to their page names: should I move all the dead ones to show date-of-death in the pagename?). To me, "usual name" would be a red herring: surely the "genealogical standard" is to refer to people by their (full) birth name, with "redirects" from any bynames, subsequently assumed names, married names, titles etc. Thurstan 02:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
