TV programme[]

One of her uncles was Albert Sydney Cammock (c1903-1941), who died in battle and was buried in Greece. Source: DNA Detectives, broadcast on TV1 on 17 May 2020. Most of the Cammocks (from Ireland) went to the US, particularly Syracuse, where Margaret married Hugh (a second marriage for each?) and had a descendant Bruce, who met Jacinda on the programme. The brother who didn't go to the US was Alexander Cammock, who came to New Zealand.

Registration of events[]

Albert's death (as he was a NZ serviceman) was registered in NZ after the war:

  • 1945/13675 Cammock Albert Sydney 37Y

No birth registration - so maybe Alexander brought his family to NZ after about 1903. No marriage registration.

Large number of death records that could be Alexander - see the disambiguation page linked above.

Conflict with Geni.com[]

This all doesn't match what Geni.com says about Jacinda's mother's parents' or grandparents' surnames. --- Robin Patterson (Talk) 04:20, May 20, 2020 (UTC)
