I've taken the liberty of adding an overview based on the family history given deeper in the article. I've added an "introductory discussion" to the history section, crediting Dan Woodruff for the work.

Some of the sources cited in this article are incomplete. They cite the type of records used to support the article, but do not identify the specific record used. This approach is commonly seen in many genealogies, but is not recommended.
