Mrs Thomas Cross, wife of Mr. Thomas Cross, proprietor of the Little Billabong Hotel, and sister of Mr Oakman of Wagga died at her residence at midnight on Thursday, death resulting from blood-poisoning. Deceased, whose loss will be deeply regretted by a large circle of relatives and friends was only ill for ten days.
On Sunday Dr. T. Watkins Burgess was summoned and travellod the 43 miles as quickly as possible. No hopes, however, could be held out for her recovery and death occurred an stated. A family of twelve children survive the deceased lady, the youngest being but 14 days old. The remains were interred in the Little Billabong cemetary yesterday in the presence of a number of relatives and friends.
