Sinites were a people descended from Canaan, son of Ham, according to Genesis 10:17 and 1 Chronicles 1:15. Most authorities however consider the identity of Sinites uncertain, but that they are possibly a people from the northern part of Lebanon where there are various localities with similar names, such as Sinna, Sinum or Sini, and Syn.

The Sinites are said in Genesis to be descendants of Canaan, who was a son of Ham, thereby making their forefather a great grandson of Noah. (Genesis 10:6,15-20)
