Sequatchie County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population is 11,370. Its county seat is Dunlap6.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 689 km² (266 sq mi). 689 km² (266 sq mi) of it is land and 0 km² (0 sq mi) of it (0.07%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 11,370 people, 4,463 households, and 3,311 families residing in the county. The population density was 17/km² (43/sq mi). There were 4,916 housing units at an average density of 7/km² (18/sq mi). The racial makeup of the county was 98.66% White, 0.19% Black or African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. 0.82% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
