Sally Thorpe Hyde was born circa January 1770 in Oxford, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States to Tabez Thorpe (1747-1847) and Susanna Bouton (1751-1820) and died 1812 in Oxford, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States of unspecified causes. She married Nathan Hyde (1767-1822) circa 1778 in New Haven County, Connecticut.

Sally Thorpe Hyde was a devout member of the Episcopalian Church in Oxford, New Haven, CT. A son of hers, Orson Hyde (1805-1878), in his diary presumed she was ME, but she was not and he was only 7 when she died. Another son of hers, converted to ME Church in Oxford, Chenango, NY, and had two ME minister sons.

Sally Thorp(e) was part of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church a mission of Oxford Center. In the year of her death an Episcopal Church was built near her home in Quaker Farms.
