Biography

In 1172 , "... give him his father, Luchin town is born in it." In the Laurentian Chronicle under 1189, Rostislav was mentioned as the owner of Belgorod , in the Ipatiev Chronicle under 1190, as the holder of Torchesk. In the same year, he celebrated his victory over the Polovtsians , who, not accepting the battle, left home. In 1193 he had already won a real victory over them. In 1195 his father-in-law - the Grand Prince of Vladimir-Suzdal Vsevolod Yuryevich - attached him to Belgorod Boguslav, Trepol and Korsun. In the Gustynskaya chronicle under 1198 it is reported that Rostislav owned Vyshgorod.

After posting in 1203 of his father by Roman Mstislavich the Great, the latter put Rostislav in prison, but Vsevolod Yuryevich demanded the release of his son-in-law. Roman let out Rostislav and put him on the grand-ducal table in Kiev. He stayed there for a short time, and already under 1206 , the Laurentian Chronicle notes: “Rostislav Rurikovich is cast out of Yaroslav Vladimirovich from Vyshgorod and his gray in it”. In the Nikon Chronicle under 1210 it is written: “ Prince Rostislav Sede in Galich, son of Ryurik, grandson of Rostislavl, and Prince Roman Igorevich expelled the month of September on 4th day. The same autumn fired from Galich, Prince Rostislav Ryurikovich ... ".
