Moreton Corbet Castle

The site at Moreton Corbet Castle was formerly known as the Castle at Moreton Toret, which was built by Bartholomew Toret following the Norman conquest in 1066. The castle passed by marriage around 1239 into the hands of the Corbets, who gave their name to the village. To this day, the Corbet family still own the castle, despite the site now being managed by English Heritage.
