Kent, Eng., whose daughter Joan was wife of Richard Bordon of Portsmouth, R.I., may be seen in New Eng. Hist. and Gen. Register, vol 75, p. 232. He m. Mary Sadler, dau. of John of Wetherfield. Bought house in Fairfield, 25 Nov. 1661, from Thomas Bassett. Removed to Greenwich, thence to Hastings 1663, a town which did not long survive under that name, and remained at Rye; died apparently about 1685. Winthrop in 1669 wrote of Mary wife of Richard Fowle of Hastings and island near Rye, - she is Goodman Sadler's dau. of Wethersfield; her age he stated in 1668 as 40years....."--History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield, Volume 1 edited by Donald Lines Jacobus
