On Tuesday evening Mr, Richard Hawkins joined the majority, after suffering for some time from cancer in the throat. He was buried at Cessnock on Thursday, and was attended to his last resting place by numerous relations and friends, some of whom had come some distance to pay their last tribute to an old and well-known resident.
