The historic voyage of the Mayflower has fired the imagination of millions of Americans and others.

Wikipedia has (and we now have) a separate category simply named Category:Mayflower. As with Project Charlemagne, interested people can cooperate here to work towards having an individual article for each known descendant of anyone who sailed on the historic voyage that established Plymouth Colony. We already have articles or at least placeholders for most of the passengers.

Things to do[]

Passenger articles[]

The template below (copied from Wikipedia) lists many of the known passengers. It seems that all now have their own proper articles. Those that had no known parentage or children are of little interest on this wiki but we have pages for them. Those that did leave offspring should have articles here in our standard format using Form:Person, linked from a page that has just the Wikipedia name.

Descendants[]

Our standard person-article system leads to the display of automatically-generated subpages listing descendants, down to four or five generations. With the creation of an article for any child, the parent's descendants page gets an extra batch, down to the limit. Tables going for more generations can be constructed by hand. We probably have a few already in Category:Descendancy lists.
