Power County, Idaho is part of the 'Pocatello, IdahoWp globe tiny Metropolitan Statistical AreaWp globe tiny which encompasses all of BannockWp globe tiny and Power counties of Idaho. The county seatWp globe tiny is American FallsWp globe tiny6Wp globe tiny.

Power County was created by the Idaho Legislature on January 30Wp globe tiny, 1913Wp globe tiny by a partition of Cassia CountyWp globe tiny. It is named for the American Falls Power Plant.
