The following summarizes results for individuals who have been tested for the YDNA test. These individuals have been organized, based on family heritage, into four groups. The table displays the centroid value of YDNA markers for which they were tested. Within any given group most results for any given marker were identical. In some cases a single test result differed from the others. These isolated differences are ignored in the table. In some cases, two or more individuals within a group showed differences on a given marker; in these cases, the range of variation is given (eg., shown as 12,13; or 29,31,32). Inspection of the table results shows that there was relatively little variation either within or between groups. The final column represents an overall centroid for the group, and is considered the representative YDNA test result across all groups. Collectively, these results suggest a divergence from the centroid value of less than 1 marker in 24 across all groups. The over all conclusion is that all of the individuals shown in these tests share a relatively recent common ancestor.

Notes:

1) Representative Couple is one of several lineages for which DNA results were selected from several within a group. The YDNA marker values represent the Centroid for the group for any given maker, not the value obtained for the descendant of this couple. The couples selected were chosen because of their pertinence for the resolution of the overall lineage problem being examined in this series of articles.
2) Centroid. This is the central value for the given marker, as obtained for all members contained in this group. Where there are difference in marker values within an individual group, those differences are shown by indicating both values.
