Patrick was born in 1864 in Ireland.

Emigration[]

After his mother died, his father took the unmarried children to America and they settled in, or near, Jersey City, New Jersey.

Siblings[]

All the siblings names appear in the autograph book that belonged to Margaret Mary Conboy. Margaret Conboy worked at a rooming house with her two cousins: Sarah Jane Carr (1863-1950) aka Sadie Carr, who married Patrick J. Norton (1856-1905); and Katherine Carr (1865-1951) aka Kitty Carr, who married James Joseph Kennedy (1870-1926).

Death[]

Patrick Conboy died in 1927 of emphysema while living at 28 McAdoo Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey at the home of his sister Margaret. His death certificate mentioned that he was previously living in Arizona.

Burial[]

He was buried at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, New Jersey with his father, James Conboy I (1837-1902); and his sister, Margaret Agnes Conboy (1866-1951) aka Magge Conboy; his sister's husband, Owen McLaughlin (1863-1931); and Owen and Margaret's son, James Aloysius McLaughlin (1892-1964).

Legacy[]

He never married or fathered any children. No picture is known to exist of him, and his obituary has not been found in the Hudson Dispatch or the Jersey Journal.

Related Conboys[]

Rita M. Haney (1918-1990) once told her husband that she thought there were Conboys in the family living in Houston, Texas in the 1970s.

He needs to be found in the 1900-1920 US Census. His death certificate needs to be scanned.
