Nicolae Mărgineanu was born 25 September 1938 in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, Romania to Nicolae Mărgineanu (1905-1980) and Eufrosina Mistachidis (c1912-c1990) . He married Florica Fulgeanu (c1945-) . He married Maria Ploae (1951-) 1976 in Bucharest, Romania.

Nicolae Mărgineanu (born 25 September 1938) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter.[1] He has directed 15 films since 1978. His 1983 film Return from Hell was entered into the 13th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Special Diploma.[2] His 1999 film The Famous Paparazzo was entered into the 22nd Moscow International Film Festival.[3]
