Nathaniel Whitney was born 14 April 1680 in York, York County, Maine to Benjamin Whitney (1643-1723) and Jane Poore (1647-1690) and died 1768 Gorham, Cumberland County, Maine of unspecified causes. He married Sarah Ford (1684-1784) 1705 in York, York County, Maine.

Biography

He was born in York, Me, where he resided until after his marriage, when he removed to Gorham, Me. He was a member of the Military Company of York commanded by Capt. Preble. Nov. 1715 Nathaniel and Sarah sold their Sunken Marsh tract in York to Joseph Harris. in 1717 he purchased 20 acres on the southeast side of the York River. He died in Gorham."
