Mihai Mihăiţă: (born September 14, 1930, in Voloiac, Mehedinți. Studii: Mihai Viteazul National College (Bucharest) (1950). Ha graduated from the eTechnical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest (at that tinem the Railroad Institute) ib (1955); and his doctor degree at the Politehnica University of Bucharest in (1977).

Administrative activity

He started his profeesional actitivy as railroad design engineer (1955-1958); He was promoted deputy minister of the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, and Communications (at that time Ministry of Transports and Telecommunications) (1962-1967); and consequently as general directpr of the Bucharest Direction of Căile Ferate Române (Romanian Railroads Company)(1967-1972) and as director of the Electronic Computing Center of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (1972-1989).

Associate Profesor of the Faculty of Transports at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, (1981-); honorary professor of the Politehnica University of Timișoara, member of the Professor's Council of the Transportation Faculty of the Politehnica University of Bucharest (1962-1982)'

Member of the Technical and Scientific Council of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (1962-1967), preşedinte al Technical and Scientific Council of the Căile Ferate Române(1962-1967) . Founding director ot the “Univers ingineresc” magazine (1990-).
