Mary was the wife of Louis Julius Lindauer (1842-1915) and they married around 1868.

Children[]

They had they had the following children; Minnie Lindauer (1869-?), Lulu Lindauer (1870-aft1900), Sophia Lindauer I (1874) who was born in Bound Brook in New Jersey and an died as an infant, Sophia Lindauer II (1875-1945) who married a Davis, Grace Lindauer (1877-?) who married Maximillian Massey, Kittie Lindauer (1878-?) and the youngest was Adeline Lindauer (1885-1962) aka Ada Lindauer, who never married. Other children may exist and be buried in Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn but their parentage must be confirmed by a birth and death certificate.

Manhattan, New York[]

In 1870 Louis is listed on the Manhattan census twice, first living with his mother and second living Mary and a child, Minnie and working as an "exchange broker". Whether this is two separate Louis Lindauers or him listed twice will depend on the year of their marriage which will be confirmed by their marriage certificate.

Death[]

In 1888 Mary Sheehan died of tuberculosis.

"Lindauer - Mary, beloved wife of Louis Lindauer, Sunday, December 30, 1888. Funeral services, January 2, 1889, eleven A.M., at 87 Garden st., Hoboken, N.J. Internment, Cypress Hills."
