Martha Graham (1854-1959)

Martha Graham (nee Watson) (December 27, 1854 (claimed born December 27, 1840, initially validated as born December 27, 1844) – June 25, 1959) was an American centenarian who was erroneously recognized as a past titleholder of the oldest recorded person ever. Guinness World Records once recognized her as being born into slavery on December 27, 1844 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, and to have died at age 114 years and 182 days in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She claimed to have been born in 1840, and later researched debunked her claim to be a supercentenarian - she was in reality born in 1854.
