The death occurred at his residence, Brial Street, Boorowa on Monday, September 4, of Mr. J. G. Chudleigh, formerly well-known resident of the Frogmore district, at the age of 81 years.
The late Mr. Chudleigh had not enjoyed good health for many years, during which time he had received the loving and devoted attention of his wife and family.
The deceased was born at Liskeard, Cornwall (England) in the year 1868. He came to Australia in his early twenties and after seeing various parts of the country he decided to settle at Frogmore, purchasing the property known as "Glenbrook," where he resided until he came to Boorowa.
The late Mr. Chudleigh married Miss Eliza Morgan 54 years ago, who is left to mourn his loss, together with four children, namely Charles (Stockinbingal) ; George (Frogmore) ; Jessie, Mrs. True (Wetherill Park) and Edith (Boorowa).
On the following afternoon a service was held by the Rev. A. T. Newton at the Methodist Church, after which the funeral which was largely attended left for the Methodist portion of the Boorowa cemetery where the remains were laid to rest. Rev. Newton officiated at the graveside and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. O. J. Stuart, of Boorowa.
The pall bearers were Messrs. Charles (son), Allan and Ron (grandsons), and Max. Chudleigh (nephew).
Many beautiful floral tributes covered the casket and expressions of sympathy were received.
