Joseph Gelchion (born in 1960) is the Regional Vice President of Operations at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.[1][2]
Biography[]
He began his career in hotels in 1978, when he worked as a front desk agent at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel while he was going to school at Jersey City State College. He was promoted to assistant front office manager, the systems manager, front desk manager and then rooms division manager. While at the Sheraton Newark, this hotel was named "Airport Hotel of the Year" for three years in a row. He transferred to the Sheraton Manhattan Hotel in the food and beverage operations.[1]
