He married Johanna Magdalena Foppen (1850-1907) 25 November 1885 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands.
Early Life
Johannes Cornelis Bakker was born on 18 August 1851 in Leiden, South Holland. His parents were Leendert Bakker (1825-1866), a milk seller and Gerarda van Steen (1822-1893). Leendert was the second of eight children. His siblings were Johanna Gerarda, Johanna Cornelia, Maria Cornelia, Leonardus Gerardus, Petrus, Agatha Clasina and Jacoba Johanna.
Leendert Bakker died aged 40 on 16 June 1866. Gerarda moved her young family to Lisse. She remarried in Voorhout on 9 September 1877 to Johannes Brama (1822-1882).
Marriage
Johannes lived in Amsterdam and worked as a porter. He had two children with Johanna Magdalena Foppen (1850-1907), who was from Maastricht, Limburg. Johannes and Johanna married on 25 November 1885 in Amsterdam. They didn't have to pay the marriage fees due to insolvency. After the marriage, the couple had two more children.

Later Life
Johanna died on 20 May 1907 in Amsterdam aged 57. Johannes registered his wife's death the next day. He attended his children's weddings in December 1908 and August 1913, both times he was listed as a labourer. He also attended his son's wedding on 2 October 1924, by which time he was no longer working. That is the last known trace of Johannes.
