Jemima Angell Young was born 4 October 1804 in Camden, Oneida County, New York to James Williams Angell (1776-1851) and Phebe Ann Morton (1786-1854) and died 16 July 1869 in Wanship, Summit County, Utah of unspecified causes. She married Valentine W. Young (c1800-1843) circa 1826 in Rhode Island. She married William Stringham 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. She married Brigham Young (1801-1877) 28 February 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. Ancestors are from the United States.


Her first husband was Valentine W. Young of Rhode Island. The couple moved to New York, where they joined the Mormon Church, and then to Kirtland, Ohio. Valentine died about 1843. In 1844, Jemima married William Stringham in Nauvoo, Illinois. In 1846 she was sealed to Mormon leader Brigham Young as one of his plural wives, along with her sister, Mary Ann Angell (1808-1882) and mother Phebe Ann Morton (1786-1854). She died in Wanship, Utah, in 1869. Her burial place is uncertain.
