Biography
Jean IV Capet-Dreux de Montfort, Duke of Brittany, Earl of Richmond, was born circa 1294 to Arthur II de Bretagne (1262-1312) and Yolande de Montfort (1263-1323) and died 26 September 1345 Château d'Hennebon of unspecified causes. He married Joanna of Flanders (c1295-1374) March 1329 JL in Chartres.
English sources recognize him as "John IV, Duke of Brittany", while French souces do not, so the English call his son "John V" and the French call him "Jean IV", and so on for further generations.
