Obituary: James A. Hall, age 72 of Martin died September 9, 2005. He was born April 1, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Donald and Egie (Butler) Hall. James came to the area at an early age and attended Knowles Country School, Otsego public schools and graduated from Plainwell adult education. James had been employed as an electrician at the Plainwell Paper Co., A-1 Disposal, The Red Brick Inn, Plainwell Bowling Alley and had owned and operated a Texaco station. He enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables, hunting and camping, but his family and friends were most important to him. James is survived by his brothers, Dale (Delores) Hall of Martin, Austin (Zaida) Hall of South Dakota, Carl (Annette) Hall of Allegan, sisters, Mary Blank of Allegan and Rose Hall of Cooper, many nieces and nephews and special friends Ivan and Sadie Honeysett of Plainwell. James was preceded in death by his brother Donald Hall and sister Jane Butler. A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hillside Cemetery of Plainwell.
