Ivan Yuryevich Rurik of Kursk was born circa 1109 to Yuri I Vladimirovich Dolgoruky of Kiev (c1090-1157) and Anna of Cumania (c1092-c1135) and died 24 February 1147 in Koltesk, Kashira Rayon, Moscow Oblast, Russia of unspecified causes. Ancestors are from Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, the Byzantine Empire.
The first mention of Ivan is given under 1146, when Yuri Dolgoruky and Svyatoslav Olgovich agreed on mutual assistance and alliance, and one of the conditions was the gift to Ivan Kursk and Pomeriye , which in 1135 the Grand Duke Yaropolk Vladimirovich returned Vsevolod Olegovich .
