Ivan Vasilkovich of Terebovl, Prince of Terebovl, Prince of Halych, was born circa 1090 to Vasilko Rostislavich of Terebovl (1067-1125) and died 1141 Halych, Halych Rayon, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine of unspecified causes.
Ivan Vasilkovich Prince of Terebovl and Prince of Halych was the son of Vasilko Rostislavich, Prince of Terebovl. According to Ukrainian historian L. Voytovich the prince had the middle name Igor.
On his father's death, in 1124, Ivan inherited the Principality of Halych and his brother Rostislav Vasilkovich (Ivan's junior according to L. Voytovich, and his senior according to A. Presnyakov) inherited the Principality of Terebovl. The following year, Ivan with his brother Rostislav and with Mstislav of Kiev took part in the dispute of their cousins, Vladimir Volodarevich, Prince of Zvenigorod and Rostislav Volodarevich, Prince of Peremyshl, siding with the latter. In 1140 ha participated with Vladimir Volodarevich participated in the clashes between the Grand Duke of Kiev Vsevolod II (his father in law) with the challenger of the Kiev throne Izyaslav Mstislavich.
Rostislav Vasilkovich died before his brother, and Ivan took over ruling the Principality of Halych which he attached to his own possessions in Terebovl. In 1141, Ivan also died childless, and Ivan's nephew, the Prince of Peremyshl Vladimir Volodarevich, moved to Halych, thus uniting all the territory of South-Western Russia and establishing a unified principality of Halych.
