He married Rebecca Garfield (1636-1684) 10 November 1660 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. He married Mary Lathrop (1640-1735) 29 June 1689 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States.


Isaac Mixer was born in 1630 in England.1 He was the son of Isaac Mixer and Sarah Thurston, one of the founders of Watertown MA.

1634 Voyage to America


He was a 4-year old child passenger on the 1st Voyage of the English ship Elizabeth, which sailed from Ipswich in April, 1634, bound for New England. The ship arrived safe at Massachusetts Bay. Passenger list information was transcribed in the 19th century by Michael Tepper from records found in London, the Public Rolls Office, formerly at Carleton Ride. Note the ship sailed in April 1634, but the passeger listed is dated six months later to November 1634. Do not confuse this list with the second voyage of the Elizabeth made in 1635.

Marriage and Family

Isaac Mixer married as his first wife Mary Coolidge on 19 September 1655 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Isaac Mixer married as his second wife Rebecca Garfield on 10 January 1660/61 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Isaac Mixer married as his third wife Mary Lathrop, daughter of Thomas Lathrop and Sarah Larned, on 29 June 1687 in Billerica, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Isaac Mixer died on 22 November 1716 in Watertown, Province of Massachusetts Bay.

He immigrated on the Elizabeth, departing from Ipswich, England April 10, 1634 with his parents Isaac Mixer and Sarah Thurston.

His third wife was Mary Lothrop Stearns French Mixer. She was the daughter of Thomas Lothrop and Sarah Larned Lothrop, and she was the widow of John Stearns and of William French.

Mary Lathrop (1640-1735) married Isaac Mixer (1629-1716) on June 29, 1687, as her third husband, after William French died. Mary outlived Isaac Mixer, Jr. and died sometime after 1735, after she was 95 years old. No Children.
