Herbert Ingram Belcher was born 6 February 1866 in Grammar School, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia to Samuel Harborne Belcher (1835-1920) and Frances Harriett Cramp (1835-1929) and died 20 June 1934 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Ellen Paton (1871-1955) 1896 in Waratah, New South Wales, Australia. Ancestors are from the United Kingdom.

Obituary

MR. H. I. BELCHER.

The death occurred at his residence, 7 Lithgow Street, Goulburn, this morning, of Mr. Herbert Ingram Belcher.

He had been ailing for some time and his death was not unexpected.

Mr. Belcher, who was 68 years of age, was a son of the late S. H. Belcher, and most of his life had been asociated with Goulburn and district.

In his early days he played a prominent part in the exploration of Western Australia. For a number of years, he was manager for Mr. A. B. Triggs but lately had been living a retired life.

He leaves a widow, one son Mr. Tom Belcher, and a daughter, Mrs. A. Schuch, both of Goulburn. Mr. S. H. Belcher, of Garroorigang; is a brother, and Mrs. H. O. Bucknell, of Turramurra; and Miss Belcher of Goulburn, are sisters.
