Obituary
Henry Hughes Dargin, aged 43 years, died at the residence of his brother, Mr. Ernest Dargin, the Terrace, Windsor, on Wednesday of last week, from heart failure, after an illness' extending, over about 18 months. The deceased was a son of the late James Dargin and Mrs. Dargin, of Macquarie-street, Windsor. He was born at Clarendon, and with the exception of 12 years which he spent in Victoria, he lived in this State. Inheriting the sporting instincts of the old Hawkesburyites, including his father, the subject of this notice, became a trainer of race horses, and for some years had stables at Randwick, where he prepared many winners of races at Randwick and other centres. He married Miss Florence Robinson in Sydney, when 21 years of age, and the issue was a family of two, viz., Jack Essington (20), and Orry Wallace (18). Among deceased's brothers and sisters were Miss Minnie Dargin, of Paddington, Mr. Ernest Dargin, of The Terrace, Windsor, and Mr. Fred Dargin, of Sydney. The interment took place in St. Matthew's Church of England cemetery, on Thursday last week. Rev. Norman Jenkyn, R.D., officiated at the grave, and Mr. Chandler was the undertaker.
