Thirty-third President of the United States (1945–1953); as vice president, he succeeded to the office upon the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt. During World War I he served as an artillery officer. He was county judge in Missouri and later became a United States Senator.

Truman, President of the USA, was born 8 May 1884 in Lamar, Barton County, Missouri, United States to John Anderson Truman (1851-1914) and Martha Ellen Young (1852-1947) and died 26 December 1972 Kansas City, Missouri, United States of unspecified causes. He married Elizabeth Virginia Wallace (1885-1982) 28 June 1919 .
