Gheorghe Doja is a village in Ialomița County, Romania. It is the seat and only village of the commune of Gheorghe Doja. The village was established in 1921 after the land reform following World War I.
The village is located in the Bărăgan, on the Valea lui Siman River, a tributary of Lake Fundata. Initially, the settlement was named Valea lui Siman, and, later, Principesa Elena (after Princess Elena of Romania). After the communist takeover, the village was renamed to Gheorghe Doja, after György Dózsa, a Székely from Transylvania who led a peasants' revolt in 1514.
