Birth[]

George Shultz was born about 1752 in Germany.

Military Service[]

George served in the American Revolutionary War in Captain Peter Nagel's Company, 4th Battalion, Berks County, Pennsylvania Militia for three years and five months as a private.

Marriage to Elizabeth Shoemaker[]

George married Elizabeth Shoemaker 1784 in Harper's Ferry, Virginia.

Move to Ohio[]

In 1805, George received a Land Patent in German Township, Harrison County, Ohio. The family moved from Loudoun County, Virginia to German Township prior to 1808, as the eldest daughter Mary Elizabeth Shultz was married there June that year. (The marriage record indicates Jefferson County, but this is probably due to a change in municipality since 1806, and the location was most likely present day German Township, Harrison, OH, USA, consistent with the description on the land patent).

1820 Census[]

George was listed as head of household 112 of Green Township, Harrison OH, USA in the 1820 census.

Death[]

George Shultz wrote a will in 1824 in Harrison County, where he died 1827. He was buried near Row 8 of Zion Cemetery. His stone was legible in the year 1920, but by 1935, it could no longer be found. George's will was probated in 1828 in Harrison County.
