George Sheen was born 13 January 1863 in Wrights Creek, New South Wales, Australia to Thomas Sheen (1817-1891) and Phoebe Ellen Perkins (1836-1930) and died 23 July 1932 Windsor Hospital, Windsor, New South Wales, Australia of pleurisy. He married Ann Jane Chaseling (1854-1942) 1914 in Croydon, New South Wales, Australia.
Obituary
AN old and respected identity of the Hawkesbury district, Mr. George Sheen, of Ebenezer, passed away in the Windsor Hospital on Saturday morning at the age of 67 years . He had been ailing for some time, and on two occasions lately had been a patient in the hospital. He suffered with bronchial asthma, but pleuresy was the ultimate cause of death. The late George Sheen was born at Wright's Creek, in the Macdonald River district, and was a son of the late Thomas Sheen. He was married 16 years ago at Croydon to Mrs. Anne Lawton (nee Chaseling), who survives. Messrs. Harry (Narrabri), Thomas (Sans Souci), Alfred (Ebenezer) and Herbert Edward Sheen are brothers, and Mrs. S. G. Buttsworth (Ebenezer) and Mrs. W. Smith (Jilliby) are sisters of the deceased. The funeral took place on Sunday, the remains being interred in the Methodist cemetry at Magrath's Hill Rev. J. Egan Moulton, B.A., conducted the service at the graveside.
