George Frederick Johnstone, 7th Baronet Johnstone of Westerhall, was born December 1810 to John Lowther Johnstone, 6th Bart (1783-1811) and Charlotte Gordon (-1845) and died 7 May 1841 of fall from a horse. He married Maria Louisa Elizabeth Frederica Craven (1815-1858) 24 October 1840 .

SIR F. G. JOHNSTONE, BART.—We regret to announce the death of this young Baronet by a fall from his horse, when returning from a dinner party, whilst on a visit to Eglintoun Castle. He was the only son of the late Sir J. Lowther Johnstone, of Westerhall.

Sir Frederick was a good landlord, a first rate sportsman, a member of the Melton Club, and sat in Parliament for the Borough of Weymouth, during the first reform Parliment.
