Georg II. zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg was born 1565 to Ludwig I. zu Sayn und Wittgenstein (1532-1605) and Anne zu Solms-Braunfels (1538-1565) and died 16 December 1631 of unspecified causes. He married Elisabeth von Nassau-Saarbrücken (1572-1607) 1596 in Bad Berleburg, Bad Berleburg. He married Marie Juliane von Nassau-Dillenburg (1592-1645) 1608 .
