He was the son of Francis August Kellar (1866-?) aka Francis August Keller; and Catherine Gleeson (1869-?) aka Katherine Gleason. Both parents were from Ireland.

Francis Herbert Kellar was baptized on August 26, 1888 at the Parish of St. Paul the Apostle, in Manhattan, New York City.

First marriage[edit | edit source]

Francis Herbert Kellar married Anna Elizabeth Lane (1890-1919) of Ireland on May 25, 1913 at the Church of St. Charles in New York. She was the daughter of Timothy D. Lane (1869-?) and Elizabeth Downey (1865-?) of Ireland.

Anna Elizabeth Lane died in 1919 possibly from the influenza pandemic. Her death certificate number was "2833".
